Oh, wow, I have been nominated for the Liebster Award. This sounds exciting 🙂

How does it work?

One blogger nominates another blogger for the Award and includes an interview. The person who nominates me gives me 11 questions to answer and I will do the same with the 5 people I’ll be nominating.

Nominated by

Thank you Jasmin for nominating me. My flight attendant friend has just started blogging this year and is already going strong. I love how she combines writing about her time abroad and shares tips for improving her quality time at home. Check out her blog Jet Streams for the Good Life

Favourite blog

One of my favourite blogs is actually Jasmin’s because I really like how well thought out her concept is. Looking for an açaí bowl recipe or a yummie breakfast chia pudding – or rather travel tips for Israel or Colombia? You can all find it here. I like how she constructed the site using these two “sides” of her life: Jet streams for her job and the good life part for making her stay at home more beautiful.

10 random facts about me

You can find those in another blog post as I think this one would get way too long if I put them in here as well.

My Interview

Jasmin gave me 10 questions which I will answer here:

1) If you could relive one day in your life, which one would it be?

Hmm, that is a tough one.

Maybe one day of Carnival in Bahia, Brazil, as I had always such a good time there.

2) Would you rather explore the deep ocean or the outer space?

I love the underwater world. I find it amazingly colourful and pretty – it’s like a world of its own <3 I have to admit that I usually only snorkel and I did an introductory dive once in Australia – so I never got too far down, but it would really interest me.

If had to choose from those two, I would choose outer space though. Because it’s so random and far away that we can only speculate about what’s going on. Who knows what is out there?

3) What makes a good blog to you?

Because the layout catches the eye first, it is an important part. It has to have a clear structure that is appealing to the eye and at the same time makes me find what I’m looking for easily.

I like blogs that give practical advice I can apply to my own life, for example how to combine trend pieces or travel tips for a destination I’m going to.

A good blogger knows what readers want to know about, he writes about topics in a way that everyone can empathise.

4) Do you believe in the real thing and/ or love at first sight?

Oh, if you had asked me that at the age of 15 I would have told you “of course, I do” – my prince will arrive on a white horse and we will live happily ever after <3 real, true love

Now, a couple of years and deceptions later, I have a more practical approach to a long-lasting relationship. In a marriage or relationship both have to work on it. It won’t be perfect by itself.

I guess I still believe in the real thing. I just think it might not happen 100% to everyone. But a lot of people can still be happy, even if it wasn’t love at first sight or if they think it’s “a good one” but maybe not “the one”.

Yes, “the one” or “a good one” can exist for you, but I also believe that you might not be able to find him during your lifetime.

5) What’s your greatest weakness?

Indecision – if I get a choice, I always want to choose both (as in the “either or” questions here)

6) If you could travel in time, where would you go?

I would go back to the 1930s to see how my Grandparents lived when they were little kids and before being chased away from their home.

7) Which song will you love all your life time?

Oh my God, Music is my life. I have to have music around me all day. There are so many songs that give me goosebumps or a happy feeling.

If I have to chose one, it’s ’03 Bonnie & Clyde by Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

And if I could choose a second one it would be “Two Wrongs” by Wyclef Jean feat. Claudette Ortiz

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I’m gonna listen to them RIGHT NOW. (just feel like it after having talked about it)

8) Which place impressed you more than you would have guessed?

AUSTRALIA

When I was a teenager, I’ve been dreaming about going to the U.S.

But then the opportunity of a school exchange to Australia came up. And I was like – Australia? Cool, it’s far away (I always had itchy feet), I wanna go.

But it wasn’t until I arrived Down Under, that I totally fell in love with this country and since then am dreaming about living there.

9) Which person (dead or alive) would you like to have dinner with?

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter. My Queen.

I’ve been crazy about her since we were both teenagers (she is 1 year older than me) and apart from being absolutely in love with her (girl crush), she is such an inspiring woman in every way.

10) What do you believe in?

I believe that the world is such an unfair place, not everybody is born with the same chances. Money rules. So do men (in most parts).

I wish to being able to improve the world, “make it a better place”, for more equality, less poverty and more love and happiness. If everybody does a little part, we can improve the world.
